About Dr. Calac

Vice President for Internal and External Affairs

He leverages his extensive state, federal, and Tribal health policy experience to support the work of the Alliance and promote the betterment of public health through equity-centered practice. He currently studies medicine and public health at UC San Diego School of Medicine and Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science in the Medical Scientist Training Program.

His research and advocacy work has been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities, and Journal of Medical Internet Research. In 2022, he was recognized as a 40 Under 40 Leader in Minority Health by the National Minority Quality Forum and participated in the Biden-Harris Administration’s Leaders in Health Equity Roundtable Series.
